Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use local storage, a similar browser feature that keeps data on your device. We keep both to the minimum needed to run the store — we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off through the site:

• Session cookie — keeps you signed in to your account after you log in with email/phone or Google.
• Security (CSRF) cookies — protect forms such as sign-in and checkout against cross-site request forgery.
• Sign-in flow cookies — remember where to return you after authentication.

These cookies are set by our authentication system, contain no marketing data, and expire when your session ends or after a set period.

Local storage we use

The following is stored in your browser's local storage and stays on your device unless it becomes part of an order or account action:

• Age confirmation — remembers that you confirmed you are 18 or older, so we don't ask on every visit.
• Shopping cart — the items you've added, so your cart persists between visits on the same device.
• Recently viewed products — used to show you products you looked at earlier.
• Shopping assistant chat — your recent conversation with the on-site assistant, so it stays visible as you browse.

Third parties

• Paystack — when you pay, the Paystack checkout sets its own cookies to process the payment securely. See Paystack's privacy policy for details.
• Google — if you use “Sign in with Google” (including One Tap), Google sets cookies under its own policies.
• Analytics — if we enable privacy-friendly web analytics (e.g. Vercel Analytics), it measures aggregate page usage without advertising cookies. We will update this policy if that changes.

Managing cookies and local storage

You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. Note that:

• Blocking necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in;
• Clearing site data removes your saved cart, age confirmation, and recently viewed items on that device.
